I would consider myself a novice investor, and most of the stuff I’ve seen on line isn’t complete or is somewhat fractured. So, any on-line resources that could teach me about the stock market, investing, and anything else I would need to know (technical analysis? economics?) to pick the “right” stocks. Also, any books that teach you how everything works would be helpful as well. Hopefully I won’t have to become an MBA or CFP :) Thank you in advance!

I have read on many sites that I need it to keep the fish alive, but is it really a necessity? They’re expensive and large.

I know nothing about investing, but I am tired of being poor. I don’t even know the basics. I don’t know what is to buy high or sell low or whatever it is. Where can I find a professional to teach me or is there a way to teach myself? Thanks

I am a young professional who wants to get more active in my financial planning. I am not an expert, will not be investing huge sums, and will not be actively changing. I suspect I will mainly invest in money markets, mutual funds, IRA, and a few stocks. I am hoping to get good service, but with the lowest costs. Value is important. thanks!

He loves Apple Computer and Pixar. I thought Apple would be a great company for him to start investing. I just want to add a share or so at a time. Yes, I know the transaction fees will be costly if I go through a traditional brokerage firm but is there a way to buy single shares at a reasonable cost?

I would like to become an investor, and am looking for something simple to get into. I have been told that commodities are one of the easiest methods to begin, yet I know no one doing so. Any advice, help, tips, or detours to something a little more simple will do for me as I plan to follow some through the next year and begin investing around the end of next year or the beginning of 2009
